I installed the new tuners this weekend and well... I didn't break a leg, but I did drill a hole in my finger!
Install was a breeze. I was a little apprehensive at drilling holes in my new Firebird and knocking out bushings w/ a punch and hammer. The neck looks very fragile and I was jonesing at every light tap w/ the hammer. The Steinbergers work great and they weigh 1/2 of the stock tuners weigh. Mine are the black ones .Thanks for your comments and help!

Are these the new ones?

I just got 2 sets of the new style in (took long enough!!) and the look isn't as bad as I was dreading.
