Strings for your Firebird

What brand and gauge of strings do like the best for your Firebird?
What do you like about them?.... and any observations on other brands would be good information.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit this but I've been running GHS Gilmour 10.5-50's lately. I was a diehard Ernie Ball guy for a long time but they just don't sound quite as bright or tight and they really seem to sound decent for a couple weeks of gigging for me.

I like Blue Steels. They seem to stay bright and full for a long time& don't seem to streach out. I don't think I ever broke one. I'm not a big string breaker anyway, but EBs always caused me problems with breaking & streatching.

I always like heavy strings. I have used D'Addario EJ-21 (12-52) strings for a long long time. They are always kick ass and sound great.

I am trying out different brands of pure nickel strings. The first to go on were D'Addario 10-45's. They sound fine. I will be also checking out Gibson, Rotosound and Fender pure nickel strings. I already tried DR Blues and was not happy with them.
