Just finished my father-in-laws 'Bird

Just finished my father-in-laws 'Bird

Way back in Sept I cut a Firebird "V" (with 2 full sized buckers) for my father in law. I did the woodworking side of it, he did the fretting, finishing and final setup. We used my new buffer to buff it out (which works fantastic!). Anyways, here's some pictures!

The new toy and "Goldfinger"

Ofcourse we had to go out to the band room to check out how she plays

Had to play mine a bit too...

None of the pictures really do the finish justice. Steve did a hell of a job with this one and the buffer really does work its magic.

Sure plays great Steve!

Super job! At first look, I hated the 2-tone look, but it's growing on me. You do wonderful work.

Thanks for sharing.

Tony, I was with you on the 2 tone thing too. Its really grown on me now!

I was thinking about you with that pickguard. The pickguard itself is clear acrylic. The decal we found the image online then printed it ourselves to clear laser jet decal paper (mirrored though). Steve applied it to the BACK of the pickguard and then painted over (behind) it. Worked REALLY well... looks super cool!
